Roasted Buckwheat Tea (Soba-cha) from Hida, Gifu
Buckwheat (soba in Japanese) is cultivated in Hida, a wild and mountainous region in central Japan. The area's dramatic temperature shifts between day and night enhance the natural sweetness and rich depth of the buckwheat grains.
Gently roasted over a low flame, these grains develop a smooth, round flavor with subtle sweetness, reminiscent of praline and toasted cereals.
This naturally caffeine-free infusion is highly popular in Japan. It is known for promoting healthy circulation and helping to lower blood pressure. If you have a buckwheat allergy, please avoid consuming this tea.
