Powdered green tea

Matcha is a powdered green tea, ground with traditional stone wheels. It is a very particular tea since the hot water is poured directly into a bowl. Once whisked with a tea whisk ‘chasen’, the tea powder becomes a frothy mousse. It has a vivid jade color with a tonic and dense flavor, yet mellow and agreeable taste. Matcha is renowned for its health benefits, as it is rich in vitamins, fibre and antioxidants. We offer a wide range of matcha suitable for the traditional Japanese tea ceremony ‘cha no yu’, as well as for confectionery and cooking purposes.
