It's perfectly possible to prepare a good cup of tea without any special equipment. A tea bag, for example, can offer a very pleasant experience if it's brewed carefully. Respecting the correct temperature and steeping time is enough to bring out a large part of its aromas.
The utensils then refine this experience. They allow for a more precise expression of the tea, notably by allowing the leaves to unfurl freely. But they are not an essential condition for appreciating a quality tea.
In reality, it's often a starting point. Begin simply, then gradually refine your tea preparation method according to your own preferences.
