Tedzuka Sekiun est un maître céramiste renommé, originaire de Kyoto et issu d'une lignée prestigieuse d’artisans de Kyoyaki. Formé par son père, le célèbre Tedzuka Gyokudō, il fonde en 1972 le Kanjūji-gama dans le quartier de Yamashina. Ses créations, fidèles aux traditions élégantes de la céramique Kyoyaki, sont exposées dans des galeries de renom à travers le Japon. En 2001, il reçoit le nom de four "Kachō-gama" de l'éminent maître Takada Myōryō du Daitoku-ji, consolidant ainsi son héritage artistique au service de la céramique du thé.
