This Mino-yaki matcha bowl is handcrafted by Shinji Akane (born 1960), a master artisan from Toki, Gifu Prefecture, the heart of Mino ware production and Japan’s largest ceramics and porcelain region.
Shinji Akane carefully selects Gotomaki clay, a coarse-grained local Mino clay, to create pottery that is both rustic and inviting, designed for everyday use with warmth and authenticity.
A perfect piece to elevate the Japanese tea experience, blending tradition and craftsmanship.
