Kyo-yaki/Kiyomizu-yaki matcha bowl with a pattern of hagi (lespedeza), patrinia and susuki (miscanthus) flowers in moonlight, made by Mitsuru Tezuka (1942-) in Kyoto.
"Musashino" is a motif in which the moon is placed in a field covered with autumn grasses. Musashino is located in the western part of the Kanto Plain, where there are no high hills. Thus, it is said that "the moon rises from the grass and sets in the grass," which is used as a lyrical motif with a feeling of melancholy.
