Kyo-yaki matcha bowl with Chinese-style motifs in red and gold, made by Ryusen Sagami in Kyoto.
The kinrande style is characterized by rich ornamentation drawn with diluted gold on backgrounds that are most often red, reminiscent of brocade fabrics (kinran), with geometric patterns.
