Natsumé matcha box in black lacquered Yamanaka-nuri wood with the motif of a noble lady from the Heian period dressed in "Jûnihitoé" (ceremonial court attire with twelve layers of kimono) made by Taien Yamashita, lacquer artisan from Kaga. When putting the matcha into the natsume, first sift it into another container using a tea strainer. Then, put it in the natsume with a spoon to form a small mountain.
