"Natsumé" matcha box in black lacquered wood with susuki (miscanthus) motif in gold in the light of the full moon made by Kishun Kitamura, a lacquer artist from Kyoto. “Musashino” is a motif in which the moon is placed in a field covered with autumn grasses. The moon motif is made with a makié technique called “Nashijiâ€: this technique consists of applying a thin layer of lacquer, sprinkling gold, silver or tin powder, then applying transparent lacquer on top.
