Mukôzuké bowl with red, white and gold plum blossom pattern.
Mukozuke refers to seasonal sashimi or vinegared dishes served in chakaiseki as well as the container in which they are served: offered before the tea ceremony, chakaiseki cuisine is based on light dishes offered as a sign of hospitality to guests. However, it can be used more freely. There are many examples of mukozuke being used as a tea bowl, even during the Momoyama period.
