Bowl matcha The "Aioi no Matsu" pine motif was created by Kikko Jyusoken VIII (1948-), a master craftsman at the Kikko kiln in Osaka. Pine trees are long-lived and remain green year-round. Among them, the "Aioi no Matsu" is a sacred pine, from which a black pine (male pine) and a red pine (female pine) grow from the same root.
