Paulownia box set containing a very refined traditional Japanese Washi (Japanese paper) box from Sencha Haru.
The sweet taste like nectar is extracted from leaves picked early. This noble-tasting tea provides a sensation of sweetness.
In a light green that evokes spring, this sencha has no bitterness. We could say that it is a well-bred, disciplined tea, with rounded corners...without any aggressiveness. While the harvest of sencha is generally done around May 2, for Haru, it is earlier, taking place during the first half of April in order to pick young leaves that are still tender and not very exposed to the sun. If the gyokuro is covered to be protected from light, thus slowing down the development of tannins and accentuating sweetness and palatability, this sencha is harvested early. It thus acquires, through the light of the first spring alone, the same complexity of flavors as that which the ripening of the grapes gives to the wine, while remaining very soft...
