This tea has a less milky, less thick and syrupy appearance than other Gyokuro teas. It is perfectly clear, as liquid as water, yet still rich in aromas, making it particularly refreshing. During the initial bud formation, the tea plant is deprived of sunlight. This gives Gyokuro tea a pleasant taste and intense flavor. A smooth, melting sweetness is released in the mouth.
