Enkō is a high-quality matcha from Uji, Kyoto Prefecture. The name enkō refers to the aura surrounding Buddha’s head, symbolizing enlightenment and radiance.

It can be enjoyed as a traditional usucha (light matcha), whisked and diluted, but it reaches its full depth when prepared as koicha. This method involves carefully blending the matcha with a chasen (bamboo whisk) in a small amount of water, creating a smooth, creamy texture with a rich, dense body. A true nourishing elixir that brings both comfort and satisfaction.
