Enkô is a top-quality matcha, cultivated in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture. The word enkô It refers to the kind of halo that the Buddha has on his head.
This tea can be drunk like a regular matcha, diluted and whisked, but develops its full richness and depth of flavor when used to make a koicha: THE koicha It is carefully mixed with a chasen (bamboo whisk) in a little water to obtain a drink as smooth as liquid cream with a robust, dense, and indulgent body.
