Succédant à la douzième génération du four de Rakuzan de Izumo-yaki, Nagaoka Sumiemon, M. Nagaoka Kūkyo crée des pièces de céramique à thé d'une profondeur et d'une finesse inégalées, en s'appuyant sur des techniques traditionnelles. Centré sur l'Irabo, un grès brut et texturé, il présente également des œuvres d'une grande finesse ornementale. Un héritage prestigieux qui perpétue la tradition de l'Izumo-yaki.
