Ce bol en raku rouge a été créé par Yoshimizu Sôhaku, anciennement maître auprès de l’école Omotesenke. Le raku, une technique de céramique japonaise, se distingue par des bols rouges cuits à basse température (environ 800 °C) et des bols noirs à température plus élevée (environ 1000 °C). Particularité du raku, le bol est extrait du four encore chaud avec des pinces spéciales et refroidi rapidement dans l’eau, laissant souvent des marques distinctives. Cette méthode confère aux pièces en raku une esthétique unique et raffinée.
